While walking home.
It began to pour
People ran for shelter, but I stood still
Along with the rain
Tears poured from my eyes
I have held on long enough
And my soul needed the rain
I tried to move
But my feet were heavy
Heavy with pain and sorrow
I wanted to run home
Hide between the chairs
But of what good would it be
To keep dragging my woe around
So I let it wash out
Letting my burden into the atmosphere
Along with my loud wailing
I did feel a lot better just by crying
A therapy that I could afford
While walking home.
Burdened
